onn. Speaker Remote – Universal Wireless Control for onn. Audio
The onn. speaker remote gives you wireless control over compatible onn. Bluetooth and party speakers without leaving your seat. Designed to work seamlessly with our full audio lineup, this infrared remote handles volume adjustment, track navigation, play/pause, and input source switching from up to 30 feet away.

This remote works with any onn. speaker that accepts infrared commands — no manual pairing or Bluetooth setup needed. Simply aim the remote at your speaker’s IR receiver window (usually located on the top or front panel) and press any button to start controlling playback.

Button Layout & Functions
Power & Source
The top row holds the power button and input selector. Tap the source button to cycle through Bluetooth, aux-in, USB, and FM radio modes on speakers that support those inputs. The power button toggles standby on compatible models — useful when you want to pause a party without physically reaching the speaker.
Playback Controls
Center buttons mirror the physical controls you’d find on the speaker itself: play/pause in the middle, skip-forward and skip-back on either side. These work for Bluetooth streaming, USB playback, and FM station tuning. Volume up and down sit just below, giving you precise level adjustment in small increments.

Battery & Maintenance
We include a CR2025 lithium coin cell battery pre-installed — just pull the plastic tab and the remote is ready to use. Under typical use (a few button presses per listening session), expect 12–18 months of battery life before you need a replacement.
When the range starts to shorten or buttons become less responsive, swap in a fresh CR2025. Pop off the back cover with your fingernail or a thin coin, slide out the old cell, and insert the new one with the positive side facing up. No tools required.

Common Questions About the onn. Speaker Remote
The remote is compatible with onn. speakers that have an infrared receiver — this includes most party speaker models and select Bluetooth speakers. If your speaker has a small dark window on the front or top panel labeled IR, it will accept commands from this remote. Portable mini speakers without an IR sensor will not respond to the remote and must be controlled via physical buttons or a connected device.
The remote uses a CR2025 lithium coin cell battery. To replace it, locate the small notch on the back cover and gently pry it open with your fingernail or a thin coin. Remove the old battery, insert a fresh CR2025 with the positive side facing up, and snap the cover back into place. The remote comes with a battery pre-installed, and under normal use you can expect 12–18 months before needing a replacement.
The infrared signal reaches up to 30 feet in a clear line of sight. Walls, furniture, and other obstacles will block the IR beam, so make sure there’s an open path between the remote and your speaker’s receiver window. In most living rooms and outdoor patios, you’ll be able to control playback from anywhere without moving closer to the speaker.
Yes, if multiple onn. speakers are within range and facing the remote, they will all respond to the same IR command. This is useful for synchronized playback in a multi-speaker setup, but if you want independent control, position speakers in separate rooms or angle them so only one at a time has line of sight to the remote.
No pairing is required. The remote uses infrared communication, not Bluetooth, so it works instantly as soon as you install the battery. Just point the remote at your speaker and press any button to begin controlling volume, playback, and input sources. There are no apps, codes, or wireless connections to manage.
The remote only controls the speaker itself — it adjusts the speaker’s internal volume level and playback functions. If you’re streaming audio via Bluetooth from a phone or tablet, you can still use your device’s volume buttons to control the source volume independently. The remote and your device volume work in tandem, so you have two layers of control for fine-tuning output.
First, check that the battery is installed correctly and still has charge — try replacing it with a fresh CR2025 if you’ve been using the remote for several months. Make sure there’s a clear line of sight between the remote and the speaker’s IR window, and that no tape or protective film is covering the window. If buttons still don’t respond, press each one firmly and verify the speaker itself is powered on and in a mode that accepts IR commands.
